Calculating Volumetric Weight

Deliver Plus shipping charges are based upon the total actual weight or the total dimensional weight of all packages in a shipment, whichever is the greater. Volumetric weight is determined as follows:

  1. Calculate the cubic weight by multiplying the length by width by height in cm (rounded to the nearest whole cm) of each package. For multi packages add results together for total cubic size.
  2. Calculate Volumetric weight by dividing by 5000.

Use the greater of the volumetric or physical weight when referring to your tariff to calculate shipping charges.

L * W * H = volumetric weight

Important note

If your shipment contains one or more irregular shaped packages, the dimensional weight of each volumetric package will be calculated based upon the smallest rectangular shape into which the package will fit.
